Who we support
We may be able to support adults aged 18 and over in a range of circumstances. Every referral is individually assessed, and suitability depends on need, risk and available accommodation.

Every referral is individually assessed. If you are not sure whether we can help, please contact our team — we would rather talk it through than turn somebody away without understanding their situation.
Support services
Support is built around the individual. Where somebody needs specialist help beyond what we provide directly, we help them access the right external services.
Residents receive regular support sessions to discuss their circumstances, progress, concerns and goals.
We maintain regular contact with residents and carry out welfare checks.
We can provide practical support and help residents access appropriate specialist mental-health services where required.
We can help residents understand budgeting, household expenses and managing money more effectively.
Where appropriate, we can support residents who want to explore employment, education, volunteering or training opportunities.
We can provide practical assistance around accessing appropriate services and understanding relevant benefit or support processes.
Where specialist support is required, we can help residents access or be referred to appropriate external organisations and services.
Our goal is to help residents build the skills and confidence required to move towards greater independence.
Where a resident needs specialist assistance beyond the services we provide directly, we can help connect them with appropriate organisations.
Progression
Supported accommodation is not intended to be the end of the journey. Residents who settle well and engage with their support may be considered for studio or more independent accommodation after an appropriate period.
Progression is always subject to assessment, individual suitability and property availability, and we cannot guarantee that a particular type of accommodation will be available. What we can promise is that we will be honest about the options.
Victoria Housing does not charge residents a separate service charge for the support we provide. Support is part of what we do, not an additional cost added on top.
